Leslie Kimberly

Functional Medicine Health Coach, AFMC, INHC

Leslie began her health journey as a teenager, dealing with episodes of anxiety and depression. Not knowing what was causing it, she was always told to just get over it. When she was in her early 20’s she sought the help of a Naturopath after being diagnosed with cervical dysplasia. He was able to explain why she had dysplasia and put her on a treatment plan. After a couple days her anxiety was better and she had more energy than ever! The cervical dysplasia disappeared and Leslie began her journey to learn more about Natural medicine.

Leslie’s passion to learn Functional Medicine started when her son was 4 years old and became very ill. When the doctor called to say that he had Type 1 diabetes and needed to be admitted to the hospital, everything changed. Leslie quickly learned how to take care of him, but she also learned that what was being recommended for his diet was contrary to what she knew about nutrition. She felt unheard in doctors’ appointments and completely alone in the journey to help him live his best life. This experience led to her strong belief that no one should ever feel alone in their journey to health.

Since 2012, she has served clients as a health coach in multiple doctors’ practices as well as her own private practice. Her work has always been fueled by a love of research, which she discovered while studying Sociology in college. This has helped her dig deeper into her clients’ symptoms to discover their true root causes. She is a Board-Certified Nutritional Health Coach, and Board-Certified Functional Medicine Coach through the School of Applied Functional Medicine. She is passionate about listening to her clients, and using her training in different fields to help them discover their best physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Lauren Walker

Nutritionist, MS, FDN-P

Lauren knows how frustrating it is to feel unwell. Her health journey started when she was born with a severe case of eczema. Doctors said she would never outgrow it, and that there was nothing to do but manage symptoms with medication. With the help of a naturopathic doctor, her eczema slowly started to reverse. After years of painful, itchy, bleeding skin, her eczema was mostly cleared up by her late teens.

Lauren has personal experience with other various health complaints including digestive issues, SIBO, painful periods, and more recently she was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder called Ehler’s-Danlos Syndrome. Despite seeing many practitioners, her health struggles persisted. This led her to a lifelong study of health and natural medicine.

Lauren holds her M.S. in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and is certified as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner® (FDN-P). She received her B.S. in Wellness and Alternative Medicine with a concentration in Mind-Body Medicine which gave her an appreciation for the role our minds and thoughts play in overall health. Lauren practiced massage therapy professionally for several years before turning her focus to nutrition.

Having personal experience with how compromised health can compromise life, and knowing that looking normal doesn’t mean feeling normal, Lauren is passionate about helping other people regain their health so that they can start living the lives they know are possible and shift from surviving to thriving.
